She completed her bachelor's degree in community health education at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. She also completed a Master of Science degree at the University of Texas at Tyler before she completed the 900+ hour dietetic internship through the State University of New York College at Oneonta. Jen is a Certified Diabetes Educator, and a member of the American Dietetic Association. She has had clinical experience in both outpatient and hospital settings and has worked with a variety of patients. She is also a consulting dietitian for Taos Spa & Tennis Club. Through personalized counseling and group education, she utilizes up-to-date research in the field of nutrition to promote health and prevent disease. "My passion is to help others achieve their goals by encouraging them to take small steps. When people realize that they can "do this" or make small changes that encourages them to do even more and then their success continues." Leslie McDowell-Dolinski, RD, LD Angie Sutphin, MS, RD/LD, NSCA-CPT As a registered dietitian and certified personal trainer, Angie specializes in weight and disease management. She has extensive experience in helping individuals and groups overcome barriers to reach their fitness and nutrition goals. She received her first BS in Kinesiology at the University of Wyoming and gained experience in personal training. Then decided that in order to help clients even further, she would have to obtain a degree in nutrition. In completion of a second BS at the University of Northern Colorado, she had the opportunity to attend the University of Houston internship program. Then went on to get a Masters of Science from the University of Alabama. Currently residing in Alabama, Angie enjoys counseling patients one-on-one on the challenges of weight loss. She has experience in clinical care, diabetes, chronically ill patients, patients in need of parenteral/enteral feeding, cardiovascular disease, renal disease, as well as less severe conditions as dehydration or mild anemia.
